pallas

An immersive interactive art installation, where

participants’ brainwaves drove the projections & audio in the space.

The various projections and soundscapes were channeled

into the dominions of Greek Gorgon sisters Medusa, Pallas & Metis,

reflecting earthy sexuality, female misogynists and a present liberation

hidden in altering states of consciousness.

The piece was inspired by kodi crone’s contemplations on the role of the brain in constructing

current societal forms of female sexuality, worth & relevance.

PALLAS was offered in Portland, OR on October 8th & 9th, 2022.

The piece included a DIY Gysin Dreamachine, to influence brainwaves and altered states,

and combined Kodi~Crone’s visual video art (channeled by the frequencies

of Medusa, Pallas & Metis) with their sound emanations and a poem by the Greek

Parmenides (approximately 5th century BCE), often referred to as On Nature.

PALLAS draws on Kodi Crone’s direct experiences with

natural elements in the Black Rock Desert, Portland and Curacao.
